The Opportunity
This is a permanent opportunity within the People Services Team, created following internal progression into a Team Leader role. The position has a strong focus on employee and industrial relations, supporting leaders through complex and sensitive matters within a structured a unionised environment.
You will partner closely with leaders across the organisation, providing practical, compliant and people-centred advice, while contributing to continuous improvement across people processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support IR/ER case management, including complex and sensitive matters
- Coach and advise leaders through performance, conduct and low-level investigation processes
- Interpret awards and enterprise agreements, providing clear and practical guidance
- Actively support enterprise bargaining processes, with exposure to union engagement (AWU & ASU)
- Assist with the implementation of recently concluded bargaining rounds
- Support annual remuneration review processes
- Complete IR/ER backend work including documentation, filing and lodgement with Fair Work
- Maintain accurate HR and employee data using Dayforce
- Partner with leaders across the organisation to build confidence and capability
- Proactively identify and implement process improvements within the People Services function
About You
- Demonstrated experience in ER/IR or a strong foundational background
- Experience within government, public sector, health or similarly structured environments highly regarded
- Comfortable operating within policy-driven and bargaining frameworks
- Confident engaging and influencing leaders at all levels
- Proactive, improvement-focused and solutions-oriented
- Strong written documentation skills and attention to detail
- Initial onboarding period of 5 days onsite
- Ongoing hybrid model aligned to business needs (typically 1–2 days onsite)
