The Role:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this all-round finance position will suit a hands-on, detail-focused individual with solid payroll and accounting experience.

You will play a key part in supporting the finance function as the business continues to grow and will enjoy the variety and autonomy the role offers.
You will be focusing on:

• End-to-end payroll processing for approximately 8–9 employees
• Managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoice review and compliance with GST requirements
• Supporting with cost accounting, allocations, credits, and prepayments
• Working closely with bookkeepers and supporting them where needed
• Contributing to reconciliations, reporting, and assisting with system improvements (currently using Xero)
• Providing accurate and timely support to the Finance Manager to allow a stronger focus on strategic priorities
• 2-3 employees reporting into the role

Role Requirements:

• Strong experience in Australian payroll
• Solid background in accounting with exposure to AP, AR, credits, prepayments, and allocations
• Moderate to strong Excel skills
• Experience with Xero (or similar accounting packages) and willingness to adapt to new systems
• High attention to detail and willingness to ask questions with an inquisitive mindset
• Permanent residency required
• Prior experience in a small-to-medium organisation (large-company background not necessary)
• Starting or recently started CA or CPA
