Our client is an Australian retail brand offering a high-quality service to their customer base. With a global presence and a commitment to sustainability, our client is looking for a new Financial Accountant to join their team on a full time permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Ledger & Reconciliations: Complete all reconciliations accurately and on time.
- Account Review: Ensure correct postings and promptly resolve issues.
- Month-End Accounts: Assist with month-end accounts to meet deadlines.
- Fixed Asset Management: Maintain the fixed asset register, capitalise assets, post depreciation, process disposals, and test for impairment.
- Cashflow Management: Assist in maximising cashflow and update the cashflow document daily for a 12-month forecast.
- Purchase Orders: Monitor POs, ensure accurate stock receipts, and maintain correct stock levels.
- Stock Payments: Apply stock payments and reconcile stock deposits and exchange rate gains/losses monthly.
- Payroll Coordination: Ensure accurate payroll recording and regular reconciliations.
- Lease Reconciliation: Reconcile lease payments with IFRS schedules and resolve discrepancies.
- Team Leadership: Lead by example, upholding values and standards.
Qualifications / Skill Set:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA or CPA qualification preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
