The Opportunity
As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will support the Group Finance Manager and play a pivotal role in this high performing Finance team.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
  • Lead, develop, and mentor two direct reports
  • Prepare annual and half-yearly financial reports
  • Analyze the impact of new accounting standards and present technical accounting papers
  • Manage AASB 16 lease accounting entries and analysis
  • Handle accounting for Group transactions
  • Prepare weekly/monthly/ad-hoc journal entries for P&L and Balance Sheet accuracy
  • Oversee month-end processes and ensure accuracy of reconciliations
  • Prepare sections of the monthly board pack slides
  • Forecast and budget for group expenses
  • Conduct general ledger analysis, identify variances, and provide commentary
  • Prepare reports, reconciliations, and schedules for external audits
  • Coordinate with finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Lead and drive process improvements across the business
  • Execute day-to-day treasury deals
  • Draft semi-annual covenant calculations and compliance certificates
  • Implement and maintain an effective control environment
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting
  • CPA/CA (or studying towards) desirable
  • Big 4 experience (previous or current) highly advantageous
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing direct reports
  • Proficiency in TM1 (financial reporting) and BPCS (accounting ERP)
  • Ability to analyze data and translate it into business insights
  • Understanding of stakeholder engagement
  • Problem-framing and influencing skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency
