An exciting role with a globally recognised industry leader currently exists in order to fill a key role in their finance team. Taking a hands-on approach, this Senior Financial Accountant's position will help assist in the management and communication of the companies’ financial & corporate accounting activities on both a domestic and international scale.
The responsibilities
Reporting into the Finance Controller, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Assist in AP & AR close to ensure the subledger reconciles with the GL before closing
- Ensure the corporate credit card interface is completed, so as to post the month-end journals and accruals
- Support the payroll team with preparing and lodging Payroll tax
- Review & lodge direct taxes, e.g. GST, PAYG and PAYGI
- Review & prepare indirect taxes for lodgement, e.g. FBT, PTR
- Support in all AASB16 leases and journals
- Manage the monthly cashflow submission, including the 13 month rolling forecast
- Prepare all balance sheet reconciliations and owning the consolidated trial balance
- Complete the MA & RP packs for the parent company
- Prepare all direct taxes, including TEA and ITR
- CA or CPA qualified
- Professional services background is preferred but not essential
- Experience with direct taxes is a must
- Must have end-to-end experience closing a trial balance
- Exposure to preparing financial statements
- Experience across Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains
