A business critical position with a renowned for purpose organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their finance team. Taking a hands-on approach, this Senior Financial Accountant position will help assist in the management and communication of the companies’ financial & corporate accounting activities on a national scale and own aspects of their lease accounting process.
The responsibilities
Reporting to an experienced finance manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
- Manage month-end reporting, reconciliations, and financial close activities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Oversee accurate revenue recognition, lease accounting, and financial provisions.
- Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including government submissions.
- Support cash flow forecasting and investment tracking.
- Provide technical accounting advice across teams.
- Improve financial systems and processes, including ERP (D365).
- Lead or contribute to finance-related projects and initiatives.
Ideally, you will be a CA or CPA qualified accounting professional and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross-functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. You will have already worked as a Senior Financial Accountant in another role.
