Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, you will play a critical role within Group Finance, ensuring the organisation meets its external reporting, audit, and regulatory obligations. This role is ideal for a technically strong accountant who thrives in complex environments and enjoys owning statutory reporting, consolidations, and compliance
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys high-quality financial reporting, problem-solving, and continuous improvement within a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and delivery of annual consolidated financial statements for the organisation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
- Coordinate statutory and regulatory reporting
- Oversee and support the completion of government grants
- Provide technical accounting advice on complex transactions
- Support month-end processes
- Assist the Financial Reporting Manager with finance projects
- Identify and contribute to continuous improvement
- Mentor and support junior team members through knowledge sharing and collaboration.
About You
You will be an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant with the capability to manage multiple complex reporting requirements.
- Extensive experience preparing statutory consolidated financial statements for large or complex organisations.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work effectively with large data sets.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels.
- Proven ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- CA or CPA qualification (essential).
- Experience with SAP and/or large ERP systems (highly regarded).
