You will join a high-performing and collaborative finance team in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple business units and contributing to ongoing finance transformation initiatives.
The Role
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Accountant will take ownership of financial reporting across a portfolio of brands while partnering closely with key operational stakeholders.
This role sits at the intersection of financial accounting, commercial analysis, and process improvement, and will suit someone who enjoys working in a hands-on environment while driving efficiencies and enhancing reporting processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end month-end close process, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting
- Prepare and analyse Brand P&L reporting, providing clear and insightful variance commentary
- Partner with stakeholders across Marketing, Supply Chain, and Merchandise Planning to support business performance
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline reporting and enhance financial visibility
- Support system enhancements, automation initiatives, and finance transformation projects
- Research and apply accounting standards, including preparation of technical memos where required
- Support half-year and year-end reporting processes, including audit readiness and liaison with external auditors
- Deliver ad-hoc analysis and reporting to support decision-making
- Contribute to broader finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Proven experience owning month-end close and financial reporting processes
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to explain financial results and drivers
- Confident communicator with experience partnering across non-finance stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Hands-on approach with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- CA / CPA qualified (or near completion)
- 4–6+ years’ experience in financial accounting
- Experience in retail, FMCG, or product-based environment preferred
- Experience in a large, complex organisation highly regarded
