About the Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant / Management Accountant to join a rapidly scaling start-up on an immediate basis.

This role is ideal for someone who is forward-thinking, thrives in ambiguity, and is confident driving change. You’ll take ownership of both financial and management accounting, build structure where it doesn’t yet exist, and deliver accurate reporting that supports leadership decisions. Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting
  • Deliver a timely and accurate month-end close across the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts, including journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Manage revenue recognition in line with relevant accounting standards
  • Perform daily reconciliations across multiple payment streams and investigate exceptions
  • Maintain high-quality reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts, ensuring audit readiness
  • Prepare periodic financial schedules and manage settlement processes with external partners
  • Manage and optimise the finance systems stack (cloud accounting software, expense tools, payroll, BI reporting)
Management Accounting
  • Prepare monthly management reports with clear variance analysis and actionable commentary
  • Partner with operations and commercial teams to track key metrics and provide financial insights
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and reforecast cycles
  • Run scenario and sensitivity analyses to support decision-making
  • Maintain financial models, updating assumptions regularly
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate reporting, reconciliations and manual workflows
  • Collaborate with technology and data teams to enhance data accuracy and financial reporting inputs
Requirements
  • 4–7+ years’ accounting or management accounting experience in a dynamic, fast-paced or growing environment
  • CA/CPA qualified or nearing completion with strong technical accounting capability
  • Proven ability to own end-to-end month-end and GL processes
  • Experience with complex reconciliations or settlement processes advantageous
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets and comfortable with cloud accounting & BI tools
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to turn financial data into clear insights
  • Thrives in a low-structure, rapid-change environment; comfortable building processes from scratch
  • Confident working autonomously and making decisions at pace
