They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Food Scientist to join their Victorian team, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.
As a Senior Food Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in leading end-to-end product development across multiple categories for the Australian and New Zealand markets. As a key member of the R&D team, you will enhance food products to meet the highest standards of quality, taste, safety, and compliance - while supporting projects focused on innovation, process improvements, cost optimisation, and margin enhancement.
This hands-on role involves developing new recipes and concepts, scaling them up through factory trials, and ensuring a smooth transition to commercial production. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Quality, Manufacturing, and Packaging, as well as external partners and suppliers. Strong project management, a consumer-led mindset, and a drive for continuous improvement are essential in bringing new ideas to life and supporting the company’s strategic direction.

Skills and experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in food product development or food science related areas.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in food science essential.
- Experience covering development projects from start to end.
- Incredibly strong stakeholder engagement experience, with both internal and external stakeholders across multiple areas of a business.
- Strong influencing skills.
- Excellent communication and confidence in presenting ideas to internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, commercially-driven food company.
- Demonstrated Project management experience.
