As part of this evolution, a newly created opportunity has emerged for an experienced Senior Forecasting and Production Planner to join the team and lead critical planning functions across the supply chain and production operations.
Your New Role
As Senior Forecasting and Production Planner, you’ll play a key role in aligning production output with sales forecasts, ensuring the business meets customer demand efficiently and cost-effectively.
Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll work closely with finance, marketing, production, and warehouse teams to develop accurate demand forecasts and implement daily production plans.
You’ll lead the creation of the master production schedule, monitor inventory and material availability, and oversee stocktake activities. You'll also manage a small team, coordinating daily work plans and coaching them to meet performance standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing demand forecasts and replenishment plans based on historical trends, marketing activity, and sales targets
- Managing the master production schedule and daily work order planning across production and finished goods
- Analysing capacity, inventory levels, and raw materials to support accurate scheduling and production continuity
- Leading monthly stocktake processes and reconciliation in collaboration with warehouse and finance teams
- Coaching and overseeing a small team of planning/admin staff, ensuring high performance and fair workload distribution
To be successful, you’ll bring:
- At least 5 years of experience in forecasting, demand planning, or production scheduling
- A degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and a data-driven mindset
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments
- Proven ability to lead or supervise a small team in a fast-paced environment
- Previous work in food manufacturing or ready-to-eat/ready-to-heat production
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or planning system improvements
