About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior ICT Officer to join an Information and Technology team in Queensland Government. In this role, you will provide high-level technical support and leadership in resolving complex ICT incidents and requests across applications, hardware, software and infrastructure.
You will also contribute to the design, implementation and continuous improvement of modern ICT solutions that support business outcomes and enhance service delivery.
This is an individual contributor role, reporting to the Manager, I&T Service Delivery.
Key responsibilities You will:
- Resolve and lead the management of complex ICT incidents and service requests
- Provide technical guidance and advice to ICT officers
- Lead the development and maintenance of ICT operational policies, practices and documentation
- Investigate and implement new technologies and systems, including cloud-based solutions such as:
- Microsoft 365 (O365)
- Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Intune, AutoPilot and modern device provisioning
- Exchange Online, AAD and MDM
- Build strong working relationships with business areas, vendors and external stakeholders
- Provide specialist ICT advice to management and stakeholders on systems, operations and business benefits
- Participate in large and complex technology projects
- Support operational activities including account management, Group Policy, SOE, device and printer management, and patching
