Role Overview:
We’re on the lookout for an Infrastructure Engineer to join the team in this newly created role, where you’ll be the go-to person for everything infrastructure. Whether it’s leading exciting new projects or being the escalation point for critical support issues, you’ll play a pivotal part in ensuring smooth, reliable operations.
Working in a supportive IT team of 8, you’ll also have a solid focus on Microsoft Azure, overseeing the company’s cloud environment without needing deep expertise. This role is office-based with flexibility for 1-2 days of remote work, giving you the best of both worlds. Plus, you’ll be managing relationships with vendors and external managed services agreements, giving you a chance to flex your communication and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the escalation point for infrastructure-related support issues
- Lead exciting new projects from start to finish, ensuring seamless implementation and ongoing maintenance
- Monitor and maintain the Microsoft Azure cloud environment
- Provide expertise across a broad range of infrastructure technologies and systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues quickly and efficiently
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver best-in-class solutions
- Document and enhance system processes, policies, and procedures to keep everything running smoothly
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role
- Strong understanding of core infrastructure systems (servers, networks, storage, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure for monitoring and maintaining the cloud environment
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualisation technologies
- Top-notch troubleshooting skills with a focus on quick, effective solutions
- Excellent communication skills and a consultative approach to problem-solving
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
