Our client is a leading consumer goods FMCG organisation and has been operating in the Australian market for a number of years. Privately-owned with a large manufacturing plant based all around Australia - our client is looking to hire a strong Senior Management Accountant to join their impressive team.
The Role
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller - your role will focus on analysing costs and improving systems processes. It will entail duties such as:
- BOM reporting and analysis
- NPD evaluation and business case evaluation
- Weekly inventory reporting balances and resolve issues as they arise
- Assist in stock counts and reconciliations
- Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
- Lead and support cost reduction projects
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives that streamline work flows or reduce costs
- Perform accounting for all factory costs and all other fixed costs, this includes analysis of factory labour costs and recoveries by work center
- Prepare weekly factory reports
- CPA qualified with manufacturing / retail / FMCG experience
- Strong knowledge of the retail / food manufacturing / FMCG industry and the operational functions relating to the manufacturing, warehousing, distribution and sales
- Knowledge of the operation and financial systems and information required to provide support for all aspects of the business
