Position Description
Reporting to the Payroll Manager and working within a supportive team, you will be responsible for:
- Processing high volume payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
- Maintaining and updating accurate payroll data, including data collection and entry.
- Processing calculations including back-payments, redundancy calculations, terminations and leave
entitlements - Providing support and guidance to employees on payroll-related matters.
- Collaborating and communicating with internal stakeholders to resolve payroll related queries
- Supporting the Payroll Helpdesk as required and ensure that tickets are resolved in a timely manner.
- Interpreting relevant Awards and ensuring compliance with internal policies and legislative requirements
- Completing project work as directed by Payroll Lead/Manager
To be a success in this role you will possess:
- Previous experience in a similar Payroll Officer position within a medium/large scale business
- Experience using Chris 21 or iChris is essential
- Understanding of and experience interpreting multiple Awards/EBAs
- High level attention to detail and accuracy
- A demonstrated ability to communicate complex matters in a simplified manner
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work within a fast paced environment
