As the Payroll Systems SME, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering system changes for upcoming legislative requirements. Working closely with Payroll, HR, Finance, IT and external vendors, you’ll ensure the payroll system is accurate, compliant and running at peak efficiency.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in complex payroll environments, enjoys problem‑solving, and can confidently manage configuration, testing and system improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead payroll system configuration, testing and validation activities.
- Support legislative changes, including system updates, workflows and controls.
- Analyse payroll data to identify risks, gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and vendors to deliver upgrades and troubleshoot issues.
- Coordinate end‑to‑end testing to ensure changes meet business and payroll requirements in line with new payday super legislation.
- Experience in SAP Payroll system administration, configuration and testing.
- Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation and superannuation processes.
- Proven ability to deliver system‑related projects within tight timeframes.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Confident communicator who can translate technical detail for non‑technical stakeholders.
