About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager – Capital, the Senior Project Manager is a key position that oversees GAWB’s Capital Projects Portfolio, ensuring capital work projects across the business are successfully executed in accordance with GAWB’s project management framework and compliant to all relevant guidelines and legislative requirements.

Overseeing a team of project managers, it will lead them across all functions throughout the project lifecycle ensuring governance requirements and business objectives are aligned for the project work’s entirety. The position will also provide specialist advice to key internal and external stakeholders and also take on the direct delivery of projects as required.  

Over the course of the next 12 months, there will be circa $25m worth of critical capital works projects to be delivered.

About You
You are an accomplished project management professional with experience leading and motivating a team and managing a portfolio of projects of varying scale and complexity. You will ideally have delivered mid to large capital projects in the utilities or engineering industries from inception/business case to completion. Ideally you will have done this from the client-side, managing external contractors to deliver works safely, to specifications and time/budget.

It will be beneficial for you to bring knowledge of water industry issues and technologies, as well as post-graduate qualifications in project management and/or Project Management Certification.
