A rare and exciting opportunity within a multinational FMCG organisation has arisen to fill a key role in their Tax team. This individual will take ownership of group wide FBT, GST and Inome tax obligations.
The responsibilities
Reporting into the Group Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Manage preparation and review of FBT Returns for various, diversified entities within the group.
- Liaise with finance functions and business units to implement and support FBT compliance process and collect relevant FBT data.
- Provide accurate and reliable indirect tax advice to the business units.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with the relevant functions and business units.
- Remain current with taxation law changes and developments as relevant, and recommend changes as appropriate
- Assistance with external audit process and preparation of tax notes in statutory accounts
- Continuously improve and automate FBT and other tax processes.
- Assist the Group Tax manager with various tax related projects, reporting obligations and process improvement opportunities.
- Opportunity to work on Direct Tax compliance reporting obligations.
- Assist with Australian R&D claims, and other grants, tax credits or incentives
The successful applicant will have
Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. 3-5 years exposure to a similar position within a relevant industry is desirable. You will be able to work cohesively within a team and autonomously.
