Sitting within a high-performing tax function (team of 5), this role is predominantly tax compliance focussed, with clear scope to evolve into a broader, value-add position as the business continues to scale.
You will partner closely with senior stakeholders across finance, both locally and offshore, playing a key role in tax reporting, governance and ongoing process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of corporate tax, GST/VAT and FBT obligations
- Ownership of income tax returns and global compliance requirements
- Year-end tax effect accounting, including deferred tax calculations and disclosures
- Monitoring lodgement deadlines and payment obligations across jurisdictions
- Supporting tax governance frameworks and process improvement initiatives
- Assisting with advisory work through technical research and analysis
- Business partnering with finance teams across Australia and international operations
- CA / CPA qualified (or near completion)
- 4+ years’ tax experience, ideally from Big 4 or mid-tier
- Strong grounding in Australian corporate tax (GST/FBT exposure advantageous)
- Experience across compliance with some exposure to advisory
- Demonstrated career progression and strong technical capability
- Confident stakeholder engagement skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented and comfortable working autonomously
- Interest in systems, automation and leveraging technology
- Up to $130k + Super + Bonus
