An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior ER Specialist to join a high-performing ER function within a major Australian organisation.
This is a pivotal role operating at the most complex end of employee and industrial relations. You will provide strategic, commercially balanced advice to senior leaders while leading high-risk matters that directly impact the organisation’s workforce and reputation.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the ER Manager, you will manage a portfolio of complex and sensitive ER/IR matters across a diverse, multi-site workforce.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing end-to-end complex and high-risk employee relations cases
  • Leading and conducting legally sound workplace investigations
  • Preparing for and representing the organisation in tribunal matters
  • Providing expert advice across employment legislation, awards and enterprise agreements
  • Partnering closely with senior leaders and HR to manage risk and drive sound outcomes
  • Identifying systemic trends and proactively strengthening governance frameworks
  • Coaching and uplifting leaders to build ER capability across the business
This is a strategic advisory position requiring strong judgement, technical depth and executive-level credibility.

About You
You are a confident and commercially astute ER professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. You bring sound judgement, resilience and the ability to influence complex stakeholder groups with confidence.
You will demonstrate:
  • Deep knowledge of Australian employment and industrial relations law
  • Extensive experience managing complex investigations and disputes
  • Proven capability representing organisations in tribunal matters
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
  • The ability to operate with pace while maintaining rigour and attention to detail
Experience & Qualifications
  • Degree in Law, HR, Industrial Relations or related discipline 
  • 5+ years’ experience in a specialist ER role
  • Experience within large, complex organisations highly regarded
  • Strong exposure to governance, compliance and risk frameworks
