The Opportunity
Reporting to the ER Manager, you will manage a portfolio of complex and sensitive ER/IR matters across a diverse, multi-site workforce.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing end-to-end complex and high-risk employee relations cases
- Leading and conducting legally sound workplace investigations
- Preparing for and representing the organisation in tribunal matters
- Providing expert advice across employment legislation, awards and enterprise agreements
- Partnering closely with senior leaders and HR to manage risk and drive sound outcomes
- Identifying systemic trends and proactively strengthening governance frameworks
- Coaching and uplifting leaders to build ER capability across the business
About You
You are a confident and commercially astute ER professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. You bring sound judgement, resilience and the ability to influence complex stakeholder groups with confidence.
You will demonstrate:
- Deep knowledge of Australian employment and industrial relations law
- Extensive experience managing complex investigations and disputes
- Proven capability representing organisations in tribunal matters
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- The ability to operate with pace while maintaining rigour and attention to detail
- Degree in Law, HR, Industrial Relations or related discipline
- 5+ years’ experience in a specialist ER role
- Experience within large, complex organisations highly regarded
- Strong exposure to governance, compliance and risk frameworks
