About the Role
As Shift Manager, you will be responsible for leading and directing shift activities within a busy production facility. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring all production targets are achieved in line with safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of supervisors and production staff, fostering a high-performance and safety-first culture
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including HACCP and GMP requirements
- Manage labour resources effectively to align manning levels with production demand, while controlling overtime and costs
- Partner closely with leadership, HR, and safety teams to support performance management, training, and succession planning
- Analyse production data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to improve operational outcomes
- Proven leadership experience in FMCG or food manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of GMP, WHS, and food safety compliance standards
- Demonstrated ability to lead cultural and process improvements within manufacturing teams
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to engage, coach, and develop people
- Experience with SAP and MS Office is desirable
