The Position 
This role will see you reporting to the National Commercial Manager based interstate and GM of Operations on site, with the purpose of driving business performance through cost control, business reviews and continuous performance improvement.  You will oversee finance functions on site, including all manufacturing accounting and corporate reporting to HO.  You will partner with operations to provide meaningful insights and relevant reporting to drive performance.  You will provide commercial analysis and financial support to operational teams and the leadership group whilst also being capable of providing full corporate reporting to HO.
  
This is a crucial role within the business and one that will suit someone looking for an opportunity to work for a large manufacturing organisation in a state-of-the-art facility situated on the south side of Brisbane. You will develop your abilities in a challenging and broadly focused Site Commercial Manager role.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to planning and delivery on financial targets for the site
  • Compile and analyse financial information to prepare monthly and annual financial statements
  • Prepare financial management reports 
  • Provide accurate sales information in terms of margin, mix, trend to enable strategic choices
  • Make recommendations on opportunities to reduce expenditure and optimise efficiencies and increase profits 
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Coordinate and prepare for financial audits
  • Conduct timely and accurate stock counts
  • Analyse financial information and provide results and advice to Site Management, including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues
  • Responsible of detailed analysis of reports in BPC and makes sure Working Capital, Cash flow and other movements are analysed and explained accordingly for the site
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

Skills and Experience
You are CA/CPA qualified, with a strong depth of experience in a growing, dynamic business environment ideally from a Manufacturing environment.  You have the credibility and presence to provide leadership to a team and engage extensively with non-financial stakeholders, while also being able to work independently and objectively.  You have outstanding analytical and planning skills, and a well developed commercial acumen.  You have an excellent track record of providing sound, well reasoned advice in support of key commercial and strategic decisions.  Advanced level Excel skills are critical to your success in the role.
