Our client operates a large-scale fuel terminal. This site is a designated Major Hazard Facility, supplying fuel into metropolitan and regional markets.
Safety is a core organisational prioritiy, with a strong focus on managing critical risks, contractor safety and operational excellence in a high-consequence environment.
About the Role
This is a hands on WHS Advisor role supporting a major terminal operation in Sydney's south. The role will partner closely with site leadership, maintenance teams and contractors to ensure safety systems are effectively applied in the field.
This position is a 6-month contract, backfilling a secondment.
- Provide onsite WHS support across terminal operations.
- Lead and support incident investigations (ICAM preferred) and ensure robust corrective actions.
- Coach frontline leaders, challenge unsafe behaviours and upload critical risk standards without compromise.
- Support permit-to-work systems.
- Experience in high-risk industries such as petroleum, chemicals, oil & gas, explosives, utilities, refineries or heavy manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of permit-to-work systems in a large operational environment.
- Proven ability to influence operational leaders and build trust on site.
- Comfortable working independently in a Major Hazard Facility environment.
- Incident investigation experience (ICAM or similar) highly regard.
