You will act as the key point of contact for WHS across the business – with a remit spanning policy development, training, incident investigation, workers comp, and regulatory response. This is a rare opportunity to step into a broad, hands-on role with high visibility and real impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead safety initiatives, partnering with senior stakeholders across various business units
- Overhaul and improve existing WHS policies, procedures and reporting tools
- Manage workplace incidents and liaise with regulators, including preparing Due Diligence reports
- Upskill and coach operational staff, including Return-to-Work Officers
- Drive a proactive safety culture through training and clear reporting
- Oversee workers compensation processes and work with external providers (TPAs)
- Ensure compliance with relevant WHS legislation across Australia and New Zealand
- Cert IV in WHS, with strong working knowledge of the Australian WHS landscape
- Prior experience in a similar role within FMCG, retail, or hospitality environments
- Comfortable working in a standalone capacity with exposure to multi-site or national operations
- Strong business acumen and confident communication
- Understanding of WHS and safety systems
