The Opportunity
Reporting to the Employee Relations Manager, you will manage a diverse portfolio of complex and high-risk employee and industrial relations matters across a large, multi-site workforce.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading complex ER cases, investigations and dispute resolution matters
- Providing expert advice across employment legislation, awards and enterprise agreements
- Partnering closely with senior leaders and HR on sensitive and confidential issues
- Identifying trends, mitigating risk and proactively strengthening governance
- Coaching and uplifting leaders and HR teams to build ER capability
- Ensuring best-practice documentation, compliance and process integrity
About You
You are a confident, commercially astute ER professional with sound judgement and the credibility to influence at senior levels. You are calm under pressure, solutions-focused and able to balance risk with practical business outcomes.
You will bring:
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment and industrial relations legislation
- Proven experience managing complex investigations and high-risk matters
- The ability to operate independently in dynamic, high-pressure settings
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing capability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to act with pace while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- Degree in Law, HR, Industrial Relations or related discipline
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience in a specialist ER role
- Experience within large, complex organisations highly regarded
- Strong exposure to compliance, governance and risk management
- Work directly with senior leaders in a complex and evolving environment
