About the Role Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Controller plays a key leadership role in managing Qanstruct’s day-to-day finance function. This is a hands-on and strategic role, responsible for financial reporting, compliance, payroll, budgeting, and risk management, while also supporting commercial decision-making and continuous improvement across the business. You will lead and mentor a capable finance team and work closely with internal stakeholders across operations, projects, and executive leadership. Key responsibilities include: Prepare and present accurate monthly financial reports and consolidated accounts Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning Manage statutory and legal compliance, including all tax obligations Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations Identify financial risks and implement effective mitigation strategies Monitor and control project costs to enhance profitability Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks and opportunities Maintain strong financial controls and ensure data integrity Collaborate with project managers and functional leaders to support business objectives Support, coach, and develop finance team members, driving continuous improvement The Ideal Candidate We’re seeking a confident and capable finance leader who brings: CA or CPA qualification, with a tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance or related field 5+ years’ experience in senior finance roles such a Finance Manager or Controller Construction industry or project-based experience (highly desirable) Strong technical skills in financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and payroll Experience partnering with senior leaders to support strategic decision-making A collaborative and supportive leadership style, with a passion for developing teams High attention to detail, strong organisational skills and a continuous improvement mindset The Benefits Competitive salary package aligned with experience Required 5 days on-site, supporting strong collaboration and connection New state-of-the-art office in Kew Dedicated wellness Centre and onsite gym, available 7 days per week.
