Tom completed his Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting at the University of South Australia which led him to a 15+ year career in commercial finance. CPA qualified, he has worked with market leading ASX listed brands in FMCG, Entertainment & Media industries to name a few. Having completed his MBA, Tom decided to look for new challenges and skillsets, starting his recruitment pathway in 2022. He looks forward to utilising his finance knowledge to offer career & team structure advice, build long-term relationships and to connect the right candidates with the right companies.

Outside of work, Tom is very social enjoying catching up with family and friends and travelling when he can. Always up for something fun, this usually involves dining out, time in the pub or attending sporting events. To keen balance, Tom attempts to keep fit loving time on the golf course, coastal runs, heading to the gym and generally getting involved in anything active.

Benefits 25 days Annual Leave Flexible working arrangements CBD location Health allowance About the roleThis is an exciting opportunity for a qualified first or second mover to take ownership of the end-to-end month-end process and contribute to a range of core financial operations across the group. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with tax and accounting standards, and supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles. You will also work on technical accounting matters and assist with group consolidations, audits, and ad-hoc projects across the broader finance function. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented finance professional who has a positive outlook and growth mindset.Duties Complete end-to-end month-end close including journals and reconciliations Support monthly management reporting and provide variance analysis Assist in group consolidation and preparation of consolidation journals Manage GL reconciliations, revenue interface reviews, and lease accounting Prepare BAS, payroll tax, FBT, and assist with income tax compliance Reconcile bank accounts and support treasury operations Provide data and analysis for budgeting, reforecasting, and strategic planning Contribute to external audits and prepare statutory reporting as required Participate in system integration and finance transformation projects Skills and Experience CA / CPA Qualified 1+ years post qualification experience Chartered first or second mover ideal Good with systems, MYOB, Xero, TM1 Can-do attitude with a growth mindset Excellent communication to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders Self-motivated to drive function improvement About the companyA long-established, ASX-listed services group with a national presence.
