Sharp & Carter has partnered with a market leader in the healthcare industry and is presently seeking an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join the finance team on a permanent basis.
Position Description
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the role will involve taking ownership of the key tasks below:
- Month-end functions - preparation of cash flow forecast, balance sheet reconciliations, review of profit and loss statements
- Budgeting and forecasting - liaise with Business Analyst in forecast adjustments
- Banking - daily bank reconciliations
- Fixed assets - maintenance of the fixed asset register and preparation of monthly depreciation journals
- Preparation of monthly BAS
- Payroll processing
- Accounts Payable and Receivable duties
- Ad hoc projects as required by the finance team
The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar role and possesses an outstanding attitude. Other essential requirements include:
- Tertiary qualified in an accounting degree
- High-level numeracy and reconciliation skills
- Demonstrated intermediate Excel skills including the use of formulas and functions
- High-level time management skills & the ability to meet deadlines
- The ability to work within a team environment
- First-class communication skills both written and verbal
