Are you a skilled Business Analyst who thrives in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment? We’re partnering with the Queensland Department of Education to find a BA to support a range of transformation initiatives across their $40B+ infrastructure portfolio. This is a unique opportunity to play a part in shaping the way the department uses information, data, and digital tools to better manage its assets, from schools to early childhood services.
This role will see you contribute across a diverse and evolving two-year program of work. You’ll work alongside fellow BAs, a Senior Project Manager, and a Change Manager to improve data quality, business processes, and reporting capability across the division.
This is not a technical BA role, instead, it offers variety and scope to flex your skills across both strategic and operational domains, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and business improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to application development and product backlog prioritisation
- Support strategic planning and analysis, including roadmaps and business cases
- Lead stakeholder engagement activities (e.g. workshops, discovery sessions)
- Develop clear and compelling documentation, user stories, and process models
- Work within Agile and Lean frameworks to drive outcomes across the portfolio
- 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in Queensland Government
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex ideas
- A growth mindset, adaptability, and a team-first approach
- Experience with Agile/Lean methodologies (Scrum Master certification a plus)
- Bonus points for SQL/data analysis skills (e.g. SQL Server or similar tools)
