About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists for a commercially focused and results-driven Business Development Manager to join an innovative manufacturer in the sustainable packaging and logistics sector. This role is focused on expanding market share by identifying and converting new business opportunities across the plastic export pallet segment, while also supporting hygiene pallets and other product lines. You’ll own the end-to-end sales process—from strategic lead generation to deal closure—while forging long-term customer partnerships. Duties
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet and exceed product sales targets
  • Identify and break into new markets through cold outreach, networking, and in-person engagement
  • Manage the entire sales process, including quoting, negotiations, and onboarding
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to drive satisfaction and repeat business
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and performance reporting to senior management
  • Stay current with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activity
  • Represent the company at industry events and customer meetings
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer experiences
Skills & Experience
  • Proven B2B sales experience, ideally in manufacturing, logistics, packaging, met/poultry or industrial products
  • Demonstrated success in achieving or surpassing sales targets
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and a strategic mindset
  • Comfortable with CRM tools and sales reporting systems
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and events
  • Experience in pallets, freight, or export markets highly advantageous
