A global FMCG with household names which has a strong emphasis on innovation to ensure they are always making great tasting foods. Due to continued focus on best practice engineering, they are looking for a Electrical and Control Systems Engineer at a regional location in Victoria.

Position Overview:
Our client is currently in search of a talented Electrical Controls Engineer to join its team at their facility dedicated to achieving excellence in food manufacturing. As a key player in the industry, the company is committed to delivering top-notch products and is looking for a skilled professional to contribute to the success of its operations.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement the electrical control systems for the manufacturing machinery and processes.
  • Collaborate with the projects and maintenance teams to understand project requirements and provides technical expertise in the development and optimization of control systems.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and troubleshooting of electrical systems, ensuring reliability and efficiency in production processes.
  • Develop and modify PLC programs, HMI applications, SCADA, MES and other control software to meet the evolving needs of the production environment.
  • Implements and oversees preventative maintenance programs for electrical control systems.
  • Stays abreast of industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies to recommend and integrate innovative solutions.
  
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in relative engineering field with additional trade qualifications.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing electrical control systems, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming, HMI development, and industrial communication protocols.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and codes related to electrical control systems in the manufacturing sector.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
