The Role: 

As an Employee Relations Advisor, you will be instrumental in driving Employee Relations initiatives.  
  
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Strategic Projects: Having a continuous improvement mindset, you will work on projects that create and roll out employee strategies which will support operational changes but also nurture relationships with external stakeholders such as employer associations and unions  
  • Enterprise Agreements: Assist in the full end to end negotiation process  
  • Advisory: Using your expert knowledge in employment legislation provide expert advice on employee relations matters, ensuring you are staying updated on changes. 
  • Case Management: Resolve employee relations issues, including conducting investigations and representing the company before tribunals when necessary. 
  • Training and Development: Collaborate on the creation and delivery of training programs for line managers on key Workplace Relations policies. 
  
Skills and Experience: 
  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Employee Relations, Human Resources, or Law. 
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the fast-paced retail industry or law firm  
  • Legislation Knowledge: Have a comprehensive understanding of relevant industrial laws 
  • Organizational Skills: Exhibit strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. 
  • Communication Skills: Display excellent communication and negotiation skills, both internally and externally.
