We are partnering with an incredible national retail organisation to appoint an ER Specialist into a centralised people advisory function. This role focuses on managing more complex workplace matters and investigations across a multi-site, operational workforce.
Operating in a fast-paced environment, this role is suited to someone who enjoys balancing stakeholder engagement with hands-on case management and investigation work.

The Role
As an ER Specialist, you will support line managers on escalated employee relations matters, taking ownership of investigations and providing clear, commercially sound advice across a range of workplace issues.

Key areas of focus include:
  • Managing end-to-end investigations into workplace grievances
  • Coaching and guiding leaders through investigation processes and complex ER matters
  • Making quick decisions to provide timely and accurate advisory support
  • Supporting responses to external bodies, including Fair Work Ombudsman matters
  • Delivering training and upskilling initiatives to build leader capability across workplace relations
  • Navigating sensitive or unsubstantiated matters with a balanced, risk-aware approach
About You
You will be an experienced HR or ER professional who is comfortable managing complexity and engaging with stakeholders across all levels of the business.
  • Demonstrated experience in workplace investigations and ER case management (performance, conduct, and grievances)
  • Strong understanding of employment legislation and ability to apply this in a practical, commercial way
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent matters while maintaining quality and attention to detail
  • Confident stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and coach leaders
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, operational environment - backgrounds in retail, FMCG or hospitality well-received.
