Job Description:
As a Project Manager specializing in environmental and sustainability projects, you will play a pivotal role in leading the delivery of solar photovoltaic projects and other green initiatives across our clients’ multiple sites. You will be responsible for organising and supervising contractors and trades to undertake retrofits of buildings and facilities for improved energy and water efficiency while spearheading efforts to minimize environmental impact and maximize energy efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively manage the implementation of new solar energy projects and building upgrades.
  • Organising and supervising contractors and trades staff on site.
  • Develop and manage budgets, resources, and timelines for environmental and sustainability projects, ensuring cost-effective solutions and timely delivery
  • Manage project finances, track expenditures, and provide regular financial reports.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to quality standards
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance environmental sustainability across all facilities, including waste reduction, water conservation, and renewable energy utilization.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify and prioritize green initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
  • Conduct regular assessments and audits to monitor facility performance and compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to facility maintenance teams, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience, in project management; facilities management; Environmental Science; Sustainability, or related field.
  • Proven experience in facilities management, with a focus on environmental sustainability and renewable energy projects.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of driving change and fostering collaboration within a diverse team environment.
  • Certification in facilities management, sustainability, or related areas is a plus.
