The Company
Sharp & Carter has partnered with an Australian owned organisation within a thriving industry. Off the back of strong recent performances the business is now seeking a Finance Business Partner to join their high calibre finance team.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
  • Maintaining and reporting on the Group’s land portfolio funding covenants and project financial returns
  • Performing debt and cash flow modelling and running alternative capital arrangements with senior debt, mezzanine, equity or JV structures to identify optimum capitalization of projects / portfolios
  • Partnering with the CIO and Financial Controller, forward facing relationship management of both existing and potential debt and equity partners
  • Working closely with the Developments team, to maintain and continually report back on project feasibility and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Providing analytical support as required to the Management Team with an eye to continuous improvement in this field
  • Review of financial information contained in entity Balance Sheets and Profit and Loss Statements
  • Assistance and preparation of year end accounting files and work papers, including adjusting journals and reconciliations
  • Detailed understanding of accounting, taxation and GST concepts
  • Liaising with external accountants and bookkeepers
  • Review of transactional data in ERP software
  • Monthly management reports for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Assistance and preparation of monthly utilisation requests and liaising with key Finance Partners
  • Assistance with BAS review and lodgement
  • Accounting for settlements of land subdivisions
  • Accounting for purchases of new acquisitions
  • Accounting for development phase of land subdivisions
  • Liaising with interested parties when necessary to ensure the smooth running of Projects
  • General assistance to the broader finance function as required
The Candidate
You are CA/CPA qualified, having commenced your career in the chartered environment. Your interpersonal and communication skills are exceptional, consistently displaying a willingness to provide ongoing training and support to all key users. You will have demonstrated strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
