About the Company:

Our client within the mining sector are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager to join the team. As a key player in the leadership team, you will be responsible for maintaining the overall financial integrity of the organization, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic financial insights to support effective decision-making. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and mentor finance staff, overseeing hiring and performance evaluations.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and tax laws.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits.
  • Oversee financial operations, including accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and treasury functions.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets in collaboration with senior management.
  • Provide financial forecasts, variance analysis, and performance reporting to support strategic planning.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Communicate financial results to management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Manage cash flow, including projections, working capital management, and optimizing the use of available funds.
  • Monitor and oversee banking relationships, loans, and credit facilities.
  • Collaborate with the senior management team to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) designation.
Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Leadership and team management experience.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
