About the Role

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced finance all-rounder to take ownership of the financial operations for a key business division. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller (2iC), you will lead a small team of Accountants, drive accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting, and support the ongoing operational growth of a key business unit. You’ll be instrumental in delivering financial results and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet for the business division across ANZ
  • Deliver timely and accurate monthly financial results and analysis to local and international stakeholders
  • Prepare forecasts, annual budgets, and 3-year strategic plans
  • Lead month-end close activities including Oracle system uploads and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Maintain and reconcile intercompany agreements and balances
  • Approve payments and refunds in line with organisational policies
  • Lead and support ad hoc financial projects
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to Accountants, fostering a growth mindset and collaboration
Skills and Experience
  • CPA or CA qualification
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a senior finance or management role
  • Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge (local and international standards)
  • Proficient in Oracle Financial Systems, Great Plains, and Excel beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing teams
  • Experience in the education sector highly regarded
