The Role
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Operations and Supply Chain, the Finance Manager’s role is to ensure that the manufacturing assets deliver value, drive business improvement through commercial insight, collaboration and financial discipline. The Finance Manager is integral to the performance of three sites and regional leadership teams, and will work closely with them to achieve plant, site and regional strategic and performance objectives.  Specific duties will include:

  • Primary Finance contact for the operations
  • Providing accounting, budgeting, forecasting and costing services for the sites in accordance with the company accounting timetable and reporting requirements
  • Operate as a true business partner to site leadership teams and Regional Manager Operations
  • Provide the necessary commercial support, insight and challenge to the site and operations leadership team
  • Ensure that all local and corporate reporting requirements are met and that the various departments/functions on site are conversant with the accounting systems, policies and procedures, budget and forecast positions for their areas of responsibility
  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of product costs for products produced at the respective manufacturing sites
  • Support the achievement of sustainable performance of the sites and region
  • Focus on the key value drivers of the region related to operational effectiveness (yield, quality, OEE, cost management), capital effectiveness and recovery maximization
  • Collaborate with other functional areas to develop a broader view of regional performance
  
Candidate Profile
  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with cross functional management teams and site-based teams
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Ability to analyse and communicate complex information
  • Strong leadership/ coaching skills
  • Sound working knowledge of SAP in an FMCG or Manufacturing environment
