This is a Finance Officer opportunity within a small, supportive finance team for a well-known not-for-profit organisation in the community services sector. The role requires immediate availability.
You will be reporting directly into the Finance Manager, working alongside a supportive small finance team supporting payroll, transactional finance, and reconciliations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
This role suits someone who is confident stepping into an operational finance function quickly, with strong sector knowledge and the ability to manage complex payroll and award structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fortnightly payroll and creditor processing
- Payroll processing under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services (SCHADS) Award
- Timesheet and payroll reconciliations
- Petty cash and corporate credit card management
- Fixed asset processing
- Aged debtors and creditors management
- Property agent liaison (bond, rent payments, reporting)
- Term deposit and deposit account management
- Consolidating and batching payments
- Xero processing
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience working with the SCHADS Award (highly regarded)
- Strong payroll and transactional finance experience
- Xero exposure
- Advanced Excel capability
- Experience with timesheets and payroll environments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong reconciliation and attention to detail
- Employment Hero knowledge (desirable)
- Police clearance (required)
