About the role 
An exciting, business-critical role with a global, industry-leading Insurance organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their Finance team. This position will have a project-focus around conducting an extensive remediation project across Operations. This organisation has been continuously recognised as an "Employer of Choice." This role will initially commence as a long-term 12 month fixed-term contract however has the genuine opportunity for extension and / or permanency.

The responsibilities
Reporting directly into the Senior Finance Manager; you will be responsible for:
  • Reconciliation of intercompany accounts and capital accounts across all cost centres and subsidiaries
  • Strategically analyse and clean-up balance sheet reconciliations for internal reinsurance transactions
  • Perform systematic remediation activities
  • Reconcile and document legacy balances; diligently investigating long-outstanding reconciling items
  • Cross-functionally business partner with a multitude of stakeholders; both internal and external to the Finance team
  • Assist with month-end accounting processes (as required)
  • Document remediation activities
  • Drive wider organisational process improvement efforts, automation and striving towards implementation of "best-in-class" practices
The successful applicant will have    
Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will have a strong attention to detail, enjoy collaboration, have extensive experience working on large Projects, and enjoy taking a "hands-on" approach to "clean-up" elements of work. Furthermore, you will have extensive and proven experience working within the Insurance sector as this is seen as essential.
