We’re looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team on a 6 - 12 month contract. This role will focus on improving financial processes around capital projects, fixed assets including accruals, asset capitalisation and reporting.
  
About the Role
You’ll be part of a supportive finance team working across major infrastructure projects. Your main responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and validating accruals for capital projects.
• Supporting the capitalisation process for completed assets.
• Partnering with project teams, asset accountants and other stakeholders within the business.
• Assisting with financial reporting, analysis and process improvements.
• Contributing to initiatives to strengthen financial management across projects.

  
About You
We’re looking for someone who has:

• Experience in fixed assets / project accounting.
• Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Experience with ERP/financial systems (SAP experience an advantage).
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (desirable).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work well with different stakeholders.
• A positive attitude and willingness to adapt in a busy environment.
