The Opportunity  
Our continued year on year growth has led to an opportunity for a highly capable, commercial, and technical Financial Controller to join the Finance Team, reporting to the global CFO who is a passionate leader of people. This newly created role will be pivotal in the strategic direction of the business moving forward and will be a key driver in the planning of the organisation's global growth towards 1 million placements by 2025, by helping the business make relevant, informed, and purposeful decisions. This role will lead Australian Finance team and be a key partner with the global finance teams to support global standardisation and long-term strategic planning.  


Key Responsibilities:
  
Leadership of the Australian Finance Team 
  • Leadership, mentoring, and development of the Australian Finance team  
  • Oversee the finance function and ensure that the accounting operations of the organisation run smoothly and within a robust control environment 
  • Documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls 
  • Enhancement of existing reporting processes, systems, methodologies, and controls to better deliver and enhance financial performance management with a focus on simplification 
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and legislative obligations 
  
Financial Reporting & Cash Flow 
  • Manage all Australian internal financial reporting responsibilities of the business including monthly management accounts and weekly performance reporting 
  • Develop and manage advanced forecasting and anticipated financial performance models for timely reporting across the business and communicate on the findings for Australia  
  • Oversee the preparation of timely monthly financial and performance reports for Australia 
  • Partnering with the Australian business to understand their informational requirements and oversee the creation of financial performance dashboards to support their needs 
  • Constantly thrive to automate and simplify reporting through tech where possible 
  • Oversee working capital management and cash flow forecasting and planning in Australia  
  • Standardise financial reporting output and contribute to global rollout 
  • Partner with global finance teams contribute to working towards best practice of above 
  • Contribute to global financial risk management for overseas operations in the US, UK, NZ (P&L, BS, Cash Flow, Business Risk) 
Global Business Planning 
  • Coordinate and direct 2025 global financial business planning through Financial Modelling, including incorporating rolling 12-month P&L Forecasting, Business Performance Reporting and Cash Flow Forecasting 
  • Creation of global Financial Business Plans and Bonus Structure proposals
