About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Group Financial Controller to lead and oversee the finance function, providing strategic leadership, technical accounting expertise, and operational oversight across the organisation. This senior finance role is responsible for financial governance, reporting, shared services, and process improvement, acting as a trusted advisor to the CEO, CFO, and key stakeholders, including an overseas parent company.
You will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of consolidated financial statements, statutory compliance, and management reporting, while driving efficiencies, automation, and continuous improvement across the finance team. The role also includes budgeting, forecasting, technical advice on complex transactions, M&A support, and leadership of shared services and finance operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including statutory accounts, consolidated financials, and management reports.
  • Lead shared services functions: payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, ensuring compliance and governance.
  • Drive finance operations strategy, process improvements, and automation across the business with a view to significantly improving month end close timeframes.
  • Provide technical accounting advice for complex transactions, including development deals, financing, and M&A integration.
  • Manage internal and external audits, liaise with tax advisors, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, delivering insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering collaboration, engagement, and capability building.
Skills & Experience:
  • Chartered Accountant (preferably ex-Big 4) or CPA with significant blue-chip or listed company experience.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in listed or multinational environments, ideally with property or development exposure.
  • Proven expertise in financial reporting, consolidation, compliance, technical accounting, and process improvement.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Experience with finance systems (ERP and business intelligence), automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
