This newly created, exciting opportunity will be best suited to a payroll leader ready to drive transformation and continuous improvement in a high-growth, complex environment. This Group Payroll Manager position will be overseeing the strategic and operational delivery of payroll and time & attendance services for a workforce of 2,000 employees across multiple pay cycles.
The role will focus on governance, compliance, and operational excellence while embedding a new operating model aligned with enterprise agreements, contracts, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities - Lead payroll strategy and service delivery, fostering a high-performing team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across HR, Legal, Finance, and IT to align payroll with business goals.
- Drive transformation through process optimisation, system enhancements, and user adoption initiatives.
- Ensure governance and compliance across payroll, superannuation, and employment tax obligations.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality delivery and contractual compliance.
About You - 10+ years of senior-level payroll or finance management experience.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- Proven experience with large payroll systems
- Knowledge of payroll legislation, awards/enterprise agreements, and compliance frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or related field (Master’s or CPA/CA preferred).
