Sharp & Carter are proud to partner with this leading Australian fashion retailer in the search for an experienced and ambitious Head of eCommerce. As a digitally progressive business with a strong online platform, who also boast multiple retail locations across Australia.
As the Head of eCommerce, you are responsible for driving the ecommerce and digital strategy to increase sales, deliver to KPIs and own the P&L across the digital channels including marketplaces.
You will have a strong understanding of online trading performance including the role of each digital channel plays in the customer journey to drive acquisition and retention i.e. EDM’s, CRM, database acquisition, SEO/SEM; digital marketing and promotions; social media advertising, the use of affiliates partners; website inventory optimization; UX (user experience), online merchandising and content optimization that are critical with making trade decisions.
Leading a team, you are also responsible for aligning to the digital vision, planning and execution of the online business with the objective of continuous digital evolution and growth for the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Increase digital revenue by proactively driving traffic to the website and other channels to maximise sales, whilst maintaining brand integrity
- Drive online financial performance through regularly analysing sales performance, tracking of key targets, product trends and driving actions accordingly
Online Store Trading
- Initiate and implement digital channel strategies based on agreed brand objectives aligned with the brand marketing calendar
- Understand cross channel strategy, impact and contribution and suggest plan to optimize campaigns with 360-degree execution approach
- Work with the Marketing team on website content incl copy writing, photography & video and the creative direction of the website aligned with brand guidelines
- Work with the Digital Operations Team on the CRO strategy and execution of A/B Tests, report on performance and implementation on any winning outcomes.
Customer Acquisition and Retention
- Work closely with the Head of Marketing on the digital communication strategy and eDM planning for go-to-marketing / execution plan aligned with brand identity
- Work closely with the Marketing, Digital Marketing and CRM teams to drive the following digital outputs: email, database acquisition and retention, database segmentation and analysis, traffic management, SEO, SEM, retargeting and management of affiliate networks and all digital marketing spend with targeted ROI.
Merchandising and Planning
- Work with the Planning Team on website inventory opportunities to optimize sales and ensure inventory levels are accurate
- Oversee the coordinators with sample management for eCommerce photography, ensure all product get shot and manage style guidelines, ideal for online merchandising and marketplaces
Marketplaces
- Lead the team of coordinators with the strategy for driving incremental revenue from new and existing marketplaces
- Build relationships with marketplace contacts & stay informed about new policies
- Ensure each marketplace and account is performing and to SLA requirements
- Oversee all promotional efforts for new and existing marketplaces, working within budget guidelines and client inventory needs.
Key Skills Required
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a commercially minded Head of Digital/ eCommerce Manager role.
- Experience working within an eCommerce/Digital environment
- Apparel/Fashion/Retail experience desirable
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong relationship management skills
- A high level of attention to detail
- Customer centric focused.
