The Marketplace Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimising the company’s performance on the Amazon platform.
The role manages product listings, drives sales growth, and ensures a strong and compliant brand presence on Amazon. The position works closely with internal teams to enhance brand value and deliver an exceptional customer experience across the marketplace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage marketplace governance and brand integrity, including the production, oversight, and optimisation of high impact e commerce marketing campaigns, with a key focus on Amazon.
- Strategy & Performance - develop and execute strategies that drive sales growth and improve profitability
- Campaign Management – manage, plan, implement, and optimise targeted PPC campaigns to capitalise on Amazon investment. Evaluate performance outcomes and refine campaigns to maximise results.
- Data Analysis -analyse sales and performance metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Use data driven insights to inform decisions and track ROI through clear, accurate reporting.
- Listing Optimisation - develop clear, compelling product content that enhances visibility and conversion. Maintain and optimise product listings to improve search ranking and overall marketplace presentation.
- Establish and maintain standards, systems, and best practices for content creation, distribution, and upkeep, including launching new product listings and supporting promotions and pricing updates.
- Monitor the performance and overall health of key products and listings across e commerce marketplaces, ensuring strong presentation, SEO, content accuracy, maintenance, and catalogue consistency.
- Partner with sales, channel marketing, and category management teams to deliver plans and communications that enhance brand quality and customer experience.
- Coordinate effectively with internal teams on inventory, new product launches, and promotional activities.
- Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, including brand and retailer performance, market conditions, growth opportunities, and overall sales impacts.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- 4 + years’ experience in a data analytics, sales, or marketing role involving Amazon platform
- Experience with Amazon’s Brand Registry, Seller Central, and/or Vendor Central is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales growth and utilise e commerce marketing tools, including PP
- Strong understanding of key Amazon performance metrics (e.g., OPS, NetPPM)
- Solid understanding of conversion rate optimisation and key performance drivers across Amazon and other marketplaces
- Experience managing and maintaining online product listings and catalogues.
