This is an opportunity to join a nationally recognised automotive group operating across multiple sites in Brisbane, including retail, prestige dealership, service and reconditioning operations, alongside a strong digital buying arm.
The business is entering an exciting phase of strategic growth. Brisbane will remain the shared services hub as expansion plans roll out across other regions.
About the Role
Reporting directly to senior leadership, this role will take ownership of HR, compliance and general administration oversight across a dynamic, multi site environment.
This is a hands on leadership position suited to someone who is commercially minded, operationally aware and confident providing practical advice in a fast moving business.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading and supporting HR delivery across the employee lifecycle
• Providing trusted advice to leaders on employment matters
• Overseeing award interpretation and employment structures across permanent, casual and contractor models
• Strengthening policies, processes and governance frameworks
• Supporting Fair Work and compliance requirements
• Assisting with WHS frameworks across operational environments
• Aligning local practices with global parent frameworks as they evolve
• Supporting administration continuity and team structure development
This role will initially lead one HR Generalist and another in administration with scope to grow as the business continues to scale.
About You
You are a confident HR generalist who thrives in operational environments. You enjoy bringing structure and clarity while remaining commercially flexible.
You will bring:
• Strong experience in operational or multi site environments
• Exposure to blue collar or mixed workforce settings
• Confidence interpreting awards and managing employment compliance
• Practical understanding of WHS within service, logistics, construction or similar environments
• Ability to build process without creating unnecessary bureaucracy
• High ownership, strong judgement and a solutions focused mindset
Automotive experience is highly regarded but not essential. Experience in construction, transport, logistics, heavy equipment or similar sectors will also translate well.
