Key Responsibilities
- Review, refine and implement HR policies, contracts and compliance frameworks
- Partner with leaders on job design, recruitment and onboarding processes
- Lead end-to-end recruitment across a mix of blue- and white-collar roles
- Provide practical, approachable guidance on WHS strategy and day-to-day ER matters
- Support payroll processes, including weekly payroll, coordination, data accuracy and acting as a key point of contact between the business and payroll providers
- Implement training and development initiatives to build capability across the organisation
- Champion initiatives that foster a positive culture, engagement and continuous improvement
- Contribute to workforce planning, process optimisation and employee wellbeing initiatives
- Other ad hoc administrative tasks as required by management
- Proven experience within the generalist HR space, ideally within a blue collar environment
- Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, WHS obligations and HR best practice
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with a genuine willingness to take initiative and add value
- Highly relationship-driven, with the ability to build trust quickly and act as a trusted partner to leaders and employees
- Hands-on and adaptable, comfortable balancing strategic input with day-to-day operational HR delivery
- Confident supporting payroll processes and collaborating with finance teams or external payroll providers
- Organised, self-motivated and comfortable working within a structured part-time schedule
- Permanent part-time position equivalent to four half-days per week (approx. 20 hours), with potential to go full-time in future
