The Position 
  
Reporting to the Head of People, you will provide People and Culture solutions that are effective and aligned with the Company’s strategic roadmap. In this position you will be given the opportunity to partner with Business Leaders and take ownership of several key People and Culture processes. This role will have a strong focus on the support of the corporate services and the Melbourne portfolios of the company.
  
Key Responsibilities
  •  Build robust, supportive and enduring relationships across the organisation.
  • Lead by example and ensure that all work is carried out safely, and proactively work to ensure the workplace has a strong culture of Safety.
  • Provide leadership and support to management on all aspects of the employee relations cycle particularly industrial relations and employee relations matters.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of best practice Human Resources strategies, policies, programs and procedures.
  • Represent the organisation where required in negotiations with unions and employees. This may also include EA negotiations and attendance at FWC.
  • Oversee legal risk and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Fair Work Act and relevant Awards.
  • Support managers with individual employee issues. These may include but are not limited to performance management issues, development discussions, counselling of employees, dealing with employee grievances.
  • Assist the business in conducting investigations by using appropriate methodology.
  • Assist managers in assessing employee capability and work with the Organisational Development to put programs in place to close skill gaps.
  • Proactively contribute to the HR and broader People and Reputation team programs and strategies.
  • Undertake projects or other work as directed.
  • Actively participate in the development of an ethical culture based around the business values
Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of effective partnering relationships within a HR Business Partner position;
  • Ability to analyse and understand HR analytics/metrics to help support the improvement of business activities;   
  • Proven experience in the implementation and improvement of people processes;
  • Proven skill set in organisations development, performance, succession, or remuneration.
