My client is a fast-growing not-for-profit business, with an annual turnover of $160mil. Based in Melbourne's Eastern suburbs (Surrey Hills), my client is seeking a Finance Manager to start immediately on an initial 3-month contract. 

Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for: 
    • Oversee and manage all financial accounting operations.
    • Delivery of accurate and timely month end financial results in compliance with accounting standards, including profit and loss and balance sheets.
    • Ensure billing is performed and reviewed prior to lodgement with relevant departments.
    • Support the preparation of budget and financial forecasts.
    • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
    • Ensure compliance with internal financial accounting policies and procedures.
    • Support the development and preparation of service costings model for tender submissions
    • Oversee implementation and maintenance of an effective financial system and internal controls to ensure the safeguarding of assets.
    • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
    • Facilitate transformation or process improvement experiences.
    • Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions
    • Managing external and internal stakeholder relationships including NDIS, DFFHS and investment stakeholders.
    • Participate in recruitment as/when required.
Candidate profile: 
  • A degree in commerce, business, or accounting.
  • Chartered Accountant   
  • Proven transformation or process improvement experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, leading and managing teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial analysis/reporting within a commercial business partnering capacity.
  • Experience in developing strong partnerships and managing stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of P&L drivers of performance.
